When Does Season 12 of Diablo 3 Start?

Diablo 3 fans are eagerly waiting to know when the next season will begin. With some calculations and analysis, we can make a decent estimate about the start date of Season 27.

Since Season 26 started on April 15, if we assume it was going to last for 18 weeks, it would end on August 21, which is a Sunday. Given that Blizzard developers rarely deviate from this pattern, we should be able to give a reasonable estimate about when the new season will start. Interestingly, Blizzard also tends to end every season on a Sunday and starts new seasons on a Friday.

Looking at previous seasons, Season 23 and 22 lasted for 18 weeks each, while Season 24 lasted for 19 weeks. However, more recent seasons have seen a significant increase in duration, with each Diablo 3 season typically lasting at least 12 weeks as a minimum.

Although there's no confirmed release date yet, we can work out when Diablo 3 Season 27 will start based on the game's usual pattern. As the time of writing, the Diablo 3 Twitter account has not announced an official release date for Season 26 or Season 27.

Update: The Diablo 3 Twitter account has now confirmed that Season 26 ends on August 21 and that Diablo 3 Season 27 will start on August 26 at 5 p.m. PDT/CEST/KST.
